Bokken Form

 My weapon for this year the is bokken. What makes it different is it is meant to have a blunt “blade”. It is designed for chopping/smashing your opponent causing blunt force trauma instead of cuts. Since it is also made out of wood you can hold it anywhere since there is no hand guard. In my form I use it as a mini bow staff in some of my techniques. This week I worked on adding more “pazaz” to my form as I felt it was too bland and had little creativity to it. My opening bow is the same, but I added a fancy intro after the bow, I can’t describe it but for those who were at the Thursday class know what it is. I now need to make sure I can do that technique without error before the demo on Canada day…I’m cutting it close to be changing my form. I’ve also changed a couple different techniques, removed some and added some to make it flow a lot better and no be as robotic as it was before. Its getting better, by next week my form will be completed.
