Recap
Going into the Tiger Challange I felt pretty good, had a proper breakfast, had a good warm up and was excited to compete after a few years away from competing. During my forms I felt good but not as great as I thought I should have been, I couldn’t get my hips engaged enough which caused me to be off balance and I need to stand taller to regain my balance. During the sparring I completely fell apart, I couldn’t block, strike, counter or anything honestly. I had some moments of frustration and I it completely through me off. I was to hesitant to be on the offensive which is no good when in competition. Lesson learned for the future. I have to give credit to my competitors, they saw the opportunity and went for it with 100% effort as they should be. Which got them their well deserved victory. Overall though I enjoyed the Tiger Challange, everyone was enjoying the laughs (especially during the pool noodle fights), I learnt a lot about how far I have come in recent months, and how far I still have to go until I am satisfied.
