Mediocrity

We talk a lot about mediocrity in Kung Fu. How it affects our training, personal life, and work life can be the difference between success and failure. Take a look at all the successful people you know, not the celebrities we all know, but the ones you know personally. They might be a buisness owner, athlete, and or a buisness professional. They would not be who they are today if they had mediocrity in their life. They went out of their shell, faced the world head on with no brakes, did what needed to be done and succeeded. But have they slowed down? No, successful people are always looking to be better, grow bigger, earn more from themselves. There is a quote by Tom Hopkins who was the #1 realtor in the U.S back in the 80’s and 90’s. “Don’t settle for just getting the job done, excel!” Mediocrity is doing the unproductive things, those who overcome this succeed and become the best version of themselves which can bring the out the best in those around you. I’m not perfect and none of us are. The best way to overcome mediocrity is to limit the amount of times it effects to the smallest possible amount.
