Bokken Form

 I’m getting better with my bokken form, it’s not as robotic and bland as it used to be. It has been difficult to create an entire form with a weapon we don’t used in the curriculum. Although it’s not a hard weapon to understand, you can’t cut and slice, you need to smash and strike like a dull sword or stick. I don’t know where I got the idea to use the bokken, it’s my favorite weapon outside the curriculum, it might be from how easy it is to use. I can hold it anywhere, use it as a shorter stick and smash with the “edge” of the blade. These are the strikes I’m trying to figure out with my form, is the intent a strike or a smash? Once I figure out this question I can get a better grasp with my weapon and form.
