UFC 300!
This weekend I watched UFC 300 with all my friends and we had an amazing time. As I watched the events it was intresting to recognize how often these fighters ended up in positions we have practiced in class. I'll point out one key example. Jessica Andrade vs Marina Rodriguez, during the fight Rodriguez was knocked to the ground onto her back by Andrade, she immediately put her legs up to stop Andrades attack similar to how we have practiced, and when Adrade got closer Rodriguez would kick the knees and legs of Andrade to force her to back up. Once Rodriguez had created enough room she would go into the scoot position. This was a intresting detail I never payed attention to unitl now and realized just how important the basic are even for the proffesionals.
